This LTO-6 tape cartridge demonstrates top performance, and has been engineered with the same durable media formulation used by Quantum in the re-writable tape model. Only difference is W.O.R.M (write once, read many). So, if you want to go for the rewritable tape, then you need to explore the part number MR-L6MQN-01, and for this tape it is MR-L6MQN-02. To improve health reporting and read/write performance in library environment, Quantum has embedded 16 KB memory chip. 30 year media life makes this high capacity LTO 6 (2.5 TB / 6.25 TB) the most reasonably priced backup tape.
