Built as a versatile and user-friendly single-bay NAS for personal cloud storage, the DiskStation DS119j 1-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is an entry-level, network attached storage solution for personal users. It offers speed, power efficiency, and intuitive file management. It is equipped with one drive bay that is capable of natively supporting 3.5" and 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. Using its single drive bay, this NAS will allow you to store and share a large number of files, including videos, music, photos, and documents with up to 512 user accounts.The DS119j runs on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system which helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Its CPU is an 800 MHz Marvell Armada 3700 88F3720 Dual-Core and its 256MB of DDR3L RAM allows frequently-used files and applications to be quickly accessed. The NAS is capable of achieving sequential read and write speeds of up to 108 MB/s. Also featured are two USB 2.0 Type-A ports which allows it to be connected to your Windows or Mac system, and network connectivity is achieved via the integrated Gigabit Ethernet port, allowing your stored data to be shared with users throughout the network. Data may also be made remotely available through the free iOS and Android applications.
